Directions

  1. Form the patties
    Divide the Wagyu beef into four equal portions. Gently shape each portion into a patty about ¾-inch thick, ensuring not to compress the meat too much.
  2. Season
    Sprinkle each patty generously with salt and pepper on both sides just before cooking.
  3. Heat your cooking surface
    Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
  4. Cook the patties
    Place the patties on the hot surface. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side for medium doneness (adjust time to your preference). After flipping, add cheese slices on top.
  5. Prepare the buns
    While the patties cook, lightly toast the buns on the grill or under a broiler until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers
    Spread condiments on the buns, then layer lettuce, tomato, onion (if desired), and the cheeseburger patty. Top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately
